Last week Pirelli launched it’s annual calendar. As each year, also this time questions, such as; 1. Which photographer did they invite?, 2. Is he/she going for nude or modesty?, 3. Is it art or porn?, 4. Which models posed? & 5. Does it show the current ‘Zeitgeist’?, were raised. Of course all these questions are based on personal feelings, but in overall I absolutely loved the result.
And if you were wondering what the replies to the previous mentioned questions were, here are the answers … 1. One of fashion’s most prominent photographers, Mario Sorrenti, shot the calendar, 2. He went for a bit of both, proving nude can be shot modestly, 3. IT’S ART with a touch of eroticism, 4. World’s most hottest models, like; Lara Stone, Isabeli Fontana, Kate Moss, Milla Jovovich & Molgosia Bela, posed & 5. It absolutely shows the cotemporary idea in and on fashion, while for example, although it’s not always my personal favourite, the ultimate bony models are definitely the current spirit of the time and I must say within these pictures they are depicted most gracefully. Well I don’t know about you, but I’m already wondering what next year’s calendar is going to look like!
