Last Tuesday I was invited to attend the opening of Wool Week Antwerp. The event took place in one of Antwerp’s finest locations, ‘De Spiegelzaal’ or Mirror Hall at the palace at the Meir. Wool Week is an European concept which was launched by non-other than Prince Charles of Great-Brittain, himself. Its aim is to make people more aware of the fine qualities the fibre has to offer and therefore more aware of woollen products. This week you’ll be able to visit an exposition with woollen designs, by famous creators like; Christian Wijnants, Walter van Beirendonck & Ann Demeulemeester and in addition there’s the possibility of joining the ‘Tour de Wool’, which takes you along shops, which have laid a special emphasis on wool this week. So are you still in need of a nice comfy cardigan? If so than what are you waiting for!? Wool Week takes place until the 30th of October.
