WHhhhhaaaaaa SOMEONE PINCH ME! Dreams actually do come true apparently ... because guesssss what (ps you might have seen it on my Instagram already) ... But I got to go on my very first longterm press trip :o WHOOOOOOOPPPP WHOOOPPP! After 6 years of blogging I've focussed more on travelling as you might have noticed, for I always loved culture and I've always been a great wanderer. Now in the past I got to go on some short press trips to the Netherlands and Paris for eg. However this time I got to go on 4 day trip to Austria thanks to Visit Austria!

Want to see more video action on my trip? Check out my vlog ...
On our first day we took a very short Eurowings flight from Zaventem to Salzburg, which only lasted 1,5 hours! After checking-in in our hotel, we went on our city trip through Salzburg! First up was the Dom Quartier. In the beginning of the 17th century archbishop Wolf Dietrich came to this area and turned the city and it's buildings into what it looks like today! The Dom is actual property of the Vatican and has (had) a lot of power because of it! Mostly because the area surrounding Salzburg, was filled full of rich materials, like; marble, salt & gold! In the 17th century salt was a more precious material than gold, which explains the name 'SALZburg'.
Next to the Dom you will find museum Residenz, which used to be the residence of all the Salzburger archbishops. The museum is decorated with the most beautiful materials and it has an incredible religious art collection. Moreover obviously we already got to enjoy some traditional Austrian cuisine on the first night as well, so think ... Wienerschnitzel, Zuppe mit Kasspressknödel & Salzburger Nockerl .
Stay tuned because the following days my post and vlog about day 2 of my trip to Austria will follow! Wiedersehen folks!
